Woofing Magic

Daina was born of the result of AI , the daughter of the famous Ch Holtzburg Mayhem whose owner saved his semen in the 1990s.  It wasn’t until many years after his death that the Kennel Club relaxed the rules concerning Artificial Insemination in dogs, allowed his semen to be used.  Ch Holtzburg Mayhem was a very influential sire of the 1990s, being Top Stud Dog overall 1995 and Top Dobermann Stud dog in 1991, 92, 94, and 95.  His Sire Perihelias Resolution also produced Sallate Ferris the UK breed record holder for show success which still stands to date. Mayhem produced many show champions including Jowendys Kilowatt who was himself a top sire.

Daina has only been lightly shown but has been placed many times at open and championship level; she has also achieved her certificate of merit Companion Dog at Crieff Working Trial and her Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme Gold award. 

She has exceptional health results, her vWD and PHPV being clear and her Hip Score being 0:0.  She was tested clear of DCM on the 18th of Nov 2008 when she took part in the national Dilated Cardiomyopathy study in dobermanns currently being conducted by Liverpool Vet School.  

Daina is extremely affectionate to everyone she meets and unflappable, she loves her obedience training and is very enthusiastic.  Her favourite thing, except me of course!  is her frisbee and she would chase it all day long.  She is very easy to live with and once she has been out for her training and frisbee or ball chasing she is quite content to relax and take it easy.
